What a wonderful time for USIBA and college boxing!

Two USIBA boxers are the fist USA Boxing athletes to win national championships as college competitors! Congratulations to Noe Mendoza, Jr. and Henry McFarland (both representing UTRGV). Mendoza was the fist by defeating Zachary Phillips (USAFA) by split decision in the 141 lb. division. In the 201+ weight class, McFarland defeated Jesse Greening (Washington) in a first round referee stoppage. The national event was the 2021 USA Boxing National Junior Olympic and Summer Boxing Festival in Lubbock, TX.
