USA Boxing Announces Athlete Membership Discount for September and October

USA Boxing has announced that from September 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025, the organization will offer a 20% discount on USA Boxing athlete memberships only. USA Boxing will implement the discount to further enhance the safety of the sport by providing members with an avenue to train while remaining in compliance with the organization’s governance structure.

The discount will ensure that athlete members are covered by insurance while training and competing in USA Boxing clubs. With a consistent trend of new members joining the USA Boxing organization, this discount will create greater opportunities for members to compete as athletes, while also providing further safety measures for new boxers. USA Boxing rule 1.1 states that athletes are required to be current members of USA Boxing to participate in activities including, but not limited to, club training, sparring sessions and competitions.

This discount for USA Boxing athlete membership purchases from September 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025, is the latest push from the USA Boxing national office to enhance its compliance procedures for boxers. 

All USA Boxing members must provide both a residence and mailing address to sign up for a USA Boxing membership. To sign up for a USA Boxing membership, individuals can email the USA Boxing Membership department at membership@usaboxing.org. For those who take advantage of this 20% discount for athlete memberships from September 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025, the discount will be automatically applied at checkout.

Your membership with USIBA provides you with USA Boxing practice and event insurance and gives you the right to enter any USA Boxing contest with the exception of closed Local Boxing Committee Tournaments. USIBA and USA Boxing Membership follows the calendar year from January 1st to December 31st each year.

 
 

Individual Registration

Step 1. All new coaches and boxers must individually register on USA Boxing:

    • First-time Registration, click: “Join USA Boxing”
    • Otherwise, click: “Renew Your Membership”

Step 3. Filling out the information in the 6 Steps

    • Be sure to mark yourself as a college student in the dropdown list
    • Select “USIBA” as your membership organization
    • Fill out the remaining applicable information
    • Coaches must complete Safe Sport training, pass a background investigation, and coaches certification.

RENEWING YOUR MEMBERSHIP

  • Existing boxers and coaches must renew annually at the address above.
  • The annual fee for individual registration is $80 for athletes and $90 for non-athletes.
  • Membership is based on the calendar year so only first-time boxers in the fall semester must register twice in an academic year.
 
Registering your college club with USIBA allows your campus practice facility to be covered by USA Boxing insurance.  USA Boxing insurance is active at any USA Boxing competition or registered club where registered athletes are training with a registered and certified coach.

The fee is $255 (+$3 processing) that goes towards team insurance and being registered as a USIBA Club.
You must be a USIBA Club to compete for team titles at USIBA Nationals.
Registered Clubs may host Events and purchase Event Sanction Insurance for $330 (+$3 processing).
